Winter Break Art Camp: “StuffIE Portraits”

This winter break, we’re turning to our most beloved companions for inspiration — our stuffies! In this cozy and creative camp, young artists will create portraits inspired by their favourite stuffed animals, bringing these treasured friends to life through painting and drawing at The Imagination Studio.

Students will explore a wide range of materials — from vibrant paints and paint markers to rich drawing pencils and textured papers — as they discover how to express what their stuffies mean to them in their own unique artistic way.

Each day, I’ll share demos and inspiration to help spark ideas, but the real magic happens in each child’s imagination. This is a child-led, open-ended art experience designed to celebrate creativity, personal connection, and the joy of making art that feels truly their own.

Spending time at The Imagination Studio offers kids a peaceful, inspiring pause from the bustle of the holidays. Here, they can slow down, connect, and create in an environment that nurtures both confidence and creativity. Parents can enjoy a little extra breathing room during this busy season, knowing their children are in a warm, creative space where curiosity, play, and artistry come together beautifully.

Students will leave with not only a beautiful piece of art- but also a total confidence only an art class at The Imagination Studio can bring.

CAMP DAY 1: Monday December 29. Stuffie Paintings. Students will turn their stuffie into a painted portrait on canvas using acrylic paints and paint markers.

CAMP DAY 2: Tuesday December 30. Stuffie Drawings. Students will bring their stuffie portraits to the page using pencils, Prismacolors, charcoal and/or pastels.

CAMP DAY 3: Wednesday December 31. Stuffie Stickers. Students will draw and create their very own sticker collection using our special sticker paper and markers.

CAMP INCLUDES: All painting and drawing materials and studio time. Aprons will be provided to students.

CAMP DATE: MONDAY DECEMBER 29, TUESDAY DECEMBER 30, WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 31ST.
INVESTMENT: $325+ HST
STUDIO TIME: 9AM - 3PM MONDAY & TUESDAY. WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 31ST CAMP ENDS EARLY AT 1PM.

AGES 5-12

Students must bring either their chosen stuffie each day, or printed photos of it (please print in advance) so we can create from real life observation rather than memory. bringing in stuffies is preferred but there will be paint and art materials present which could affect stuffies by accident.

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS DAILY:

★ a litter-less lunch + snacks

★ full large water bottle

★ slippers + a sweater are recommended for the winter studio classes

★ art friendly clothes (some paints does not wash out)

★ outdoor gear appropriate for the weather, we spend time outside daily

★ a curiosity to learn
