KIDS drawing CLASSES
SPRING 2026
At The Blue Mountains Public Library!
LIBRARY KIDS: A CHILDREn’S DRAWING CLASS.
Observing the places they love, one mark at a time.
In this workshop, students will begin by choosing a sit spot in the library that sparks their interest, whether it’s a cozy reading nook, a view out the window, the story tower or an interesting object. Using pencil and paper, they’ll quickly draw from observation what they see in their own unique way.
Then, back in the gallery, those sketches come to life.
With ink stations set up, students will transform their drawings into bold, expressive ink art works. There are no erasers here, just ink, movement, and the freedom to experiment. Expect quirky lines, happy accidents, and artwork that feels alive.
This workshop celebrates each child’s perspective and encourages them to trust their instincts, take creative risks, and trust the process.
