PA DAY CAMP

Friday NOVEMBER 20th, 2026

Join me at the studio for a day full of festive art making! In this special holiday-flavoured art camp, students will sculpt, draw and paint meaningful holiday artworks they can share with their families this season.

Did you know the original Christmas tree lights were actually candles? Long before strings of twinkling lights, families clipped tiny candles directly onto the branches of their Christmas trees and lit them for a short time to make the whole tree glow.

Inspired by this old-fashioned Christmas tradition, students will create their very own Candle Clip Ornament, putting our own artistic spin on the beautiful vintage candle holders that once decorated Christmas trees. We’ll explore how Christmas lights changed from flickering candlelight to the colourful electric lights we know today, while creating an ornament with a story worth remembering.

Students will also discover the story behind the Christmas tree itself. We’ll learn how Christmas trees are grown and harvested, what makes certain evergreens especially good Christmas trees, how tree farms work, and how this beloved tradition makes its way from field to living room each winter.

Then we’ll turn all that Christmas-tree magic into a truly spectacular piece of art: an over-the-top, sparkling Christmas tree card. Think layers of colour, shimmering details, jewels, sparkle and all the tiny finishing touches that make a Christmas tree feel completely magical. This will not be a quick little craft card. Students will create a beautiful, detailed artwork worthy of giving to someone very special.

Students in this camp will leave with not only beautiful pieces of art- but also a total confidence only art classes at The Imagination Studio bring. PA DAY Camps at The Imagination Studio carve out a special kind of creative magic for your kids.
